Meet another couple of dwarves from The Hobbit, Kili and Fili

While I was away on holiday were treated to a bunch of images of the dwarves (are they dwarves?) that will appear in the upcoming film version of THE HOBBIT, which as you know, is being directed by Peter Jackson. Well, today two more, in the form of Kili and Fili hit the web today.
MSN got the scoop:
“Two of the youngest Dwarves, Fili and Kili have been born into the royal line of Durin and raised under the stern guardianship of their uncle, Thorin Oakenshield. Neither has ever travelled far, nor ever seen the fabled Dwarf City of Erebor. For both, the journey to the Lonely Mountain represents adventure and excitement. Skilled fighters, both brothers set off on their adventure armed with the invincible courage of youth, neither being able to imagine the fate which lies before them.”
Take a full size look at the two below. FYI, they are played by Dean O’Gorman and Aidan Turne respectively. Ooosh!

‘Frightened’ Halle Berry Granted Restraining Order

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Halle Berry on Tuesday obtained a restraining order against a man who was taken into custody outside her home hours earlier, the third such arrest in as many days.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carol Goodson ordered Richard Franco, 27, to stay 100 yards away from Berry and her young daughter if he is released from jail.
It was Franco’s third arrest for trespassing at the Oscar-winning actress’ home in three days.
“This person has jeopardized not only my personal safety, but also the safety and well-being of my family,” Berry wrote in a sworn declaration. “This person has invaded and trampled upon the most fundamental sense of security I have, and I am extremely frightened of him and what he might do to me or those I love.”
Berry said Franco had come within a foot of her on Sunday, whenhe apparently followed her to her kitchen door. The actress wrote she was able to lock the door and call police before Franco got into her home.
Franco was also spotted by Berry and her manager at the actress’ home on Saturday, according to court files.
Off-duty police officers hired by Berry to patrol her property saw Franco scale a security gate at her home late Monday. Berry wrote she was home alone with her 3-year-old daughter when Franco was arrested that night.
He remained jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail on Tuesday.
A hearing on whether to extend the order for three years on Aug. 1.
Berry won the best actress Academy Award in 2001 for her role in “Monster’s Ball.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to Get Married This Summer? For Real?

Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie really getting married? As in, within the next three months? A new report claims it's true, citing three different sources!
We'll believe it when the "I dos" are exchanged, or the couple confirms the report themselves. Take Us Weekly's cover story with a grain of salt. Or 864.
A wedding set to take place within the next few months, sources tell the celebrity news magazine, hinting at a small affair at their home in France ...
Brangelina Wedding?Brad and Angelina Pic
Their wedding "would be intimate and informal," an insider says of the pair, who have been together for five years-plus but have resisted tying the knot.
Jolie, 36, and Pitt, 47, have said that until marriage is legal for all - gay or straight - they won't partake. But that's likely just an excuse, however noble.
It's more likely that they simply have their own reasons ... ones that may be evolving as the years go by. Six major factors may also play a role there.
"The kids ask about marriage," Pitt said of Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and Vivienne and Knox, 3. "It's meaning more and more to them."
Basically ... don't bet on this actually going down. But don't count it out either. What better reason than to do it for the kids, and for one another?

James Franco talks to Playboy about Oscar debacle

There are not a lot of people who can successfully host a major awards show. Neil Patrick Harris is a genius at it and Jimmy Fallon, Hugh Jackman and Sean Hayes have also been big hits in recent years.
But the pairing of James Franco and Anne Hathaway to host this year’s Oscars was, at times, painful to watch. While Hathaway gamely got through the night with smiles, enthusiasm and endless dress changes, Franco just seemed disinterested after a certain point.
In a new interview with Playboy, he talks about the experience and much more. Here is a portion of the interview:
PLAYBOY: Some might question how seriously you took co-hosting the Oscars show with Anne Hathaway.
FRANCO: When they asked me to do it, I laughed and said, “How am I going to get out of this?” I had one of the best acting experiences working with [director] Danny Boyle on 127 Hours, and we made something great. The studio was making a push for my best actor nomination, and people had been talking about it. At the time I thought no one had won an Oscar the year they hosted the show—I learned later that David Niven had, about 50 years ago—and I thought my hosting the show would cut down my chances, take some of the pressure off and say to people, or at least to myself, “You’re not going to worry about this.” I had done a bit for the Oscars before with Seth Rogen that was a big hit. I felt confident I could do it. I mean, what are the host’s responsibilities? You have an opening monologue, maybe a bit or two in the middle of the show, and then the rest is just reading names. They knew I could rehearse only on weekends because of school, but how much do you have to rehearse? They told me they knew I wasn’t Chris Rock and that they had designed the show around me.

Steven Spielberg demanded that Megan Fox be fired from Transformers 3

Steven Spielberg was outraged and demanded Megan Fox be fired from the latest Transformers film after she compareddirector  Michael Bay to Hitler during a press interview.  The actress, 25, was quickly dumped from the film and replaced by British model Rosie Huntingdon-Whitley.
Before the July 4 premiere of Transformers 3 director Michael Bay revealed for the first time he was told to get rid of the actress. He said: “You know the Hitler thing. Steven (Spielberg) said, fire her right now.” Spielberg is executive producer of the film which stars Shia LaBeouf. Megan Fox had appeared in the first two Transformers films and the roles helped her be named one of the sexiest women in the world.  She was cast in the third film but shortly before production began she gave an interview to the British magazine Wonderland and in it she said director Michael Bay wanted to be like Hitler on his sets.  Other crew members from the film hit back on a blog comparing Fox’s acting to that of a porn star.

MANILA, Philippines – Regine Velasquez and Ogie

MANILA, Philippines – Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid on Sunday confirmed that they are expecting their first baby.

The couple made the revelation on GMA 7 musical variety show “Party Pilipinas” after weeks of keeping silent.

It was reported earlier this month that the 40-year-old diva is pregnant.

In her phone interview, Velasquez said she is now 7 weeks pregnant.

She said she is not craving for any particular food.

“I just crave for some type of food but then after I eat it, I don’t like it anymore. Hindi na ako bumabalik doon. Paminsan-minsan lang. Pero ‘yong taong pinaglilihian ko, parang pinaglilihian ko si Dingdong Dantes at na-gwa-gwapuhan ako kay Richard [Gutierrez]. Nagpahingi pa nga ako ng picture,” she said, adding:

“Akala ko nga paglilihian ko si Heart Evangelista… Mas gusto ko ‘yong guy na face.”

If it is a boy, she said she will name it after her husband, who is Herminio Jhay Alcasid Jr. in real life. “Wala pa akong naiisip na [name pag girl] kasi naka-set na ang mind ko sa Herminio kasi alam ko lalaki.”

As for her birthday wish, Velasquez, who is turning 41 on April 22, said she wants her baby to be healthy regardless of gender.

“This is probably one of the happiest birthdays na nagkaroon ako. My wish is for my baby to be healthy, kahit ano, kahit babae, kahit lalaki, maganda kapag twins, sana healthy lang siya,” she said.

As for Alcasid, he is asking for the public’s prayer especially during his wife’s first trimester.

“Sana ipagdasal natin si Regine kasi hindi kaila sa inyo na kami matanda na. Medyo maselan ang kanyang pagbubuntis, alam ninyo naman first trimester,” he said.

He added in jest: “At ipagdasal ninyo ako na kayanin ko lahat ng demands ng aking asawa.”

It is Velasquez’s first pregnancy. Alcasid, meanwhile, has 2 daughters from his first marriage to former Australian beauty queen Michelle van Eimeren.
